Wrong Way Driver Charged With Drunk Driving

PLAINFIELD, Ill. (STMW) — A southwest suburban Minooka man was charged with drunken driving after driving the wrong way at excessive speeds near Plainfield.

Thomas Clark, 46, of the 400 block of Grande Drive in Minooka, was charged with drunken driving and speeding more than 30 mph over the limit after he was stopped at 12:47 a.m. Friday near Route 126 and Ridge Road, the Kendall County sheriff’s office said.

Clark was stopped while driving 90 mph in a 55-mph zone, police said. Clark told police he was going home, but he was headed the wrong way and did not know what road he was on, police said.
