CHICAGO (CBS) — Conditions more befitting of late October than late December will continue for the rest of the day Thursday, with sunshine and temperatures rising to the mid-40s.
The forecast high is 45, but at 11 a.m., it was already 47 degrees in Peru, Ill., reports CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros.
But on Thursday night, rain or a rain-snow mix can be expected. Glaros warns that the early morning commute Friday will resemble Thursday, with dangerous ice accumulating on bridges and overpasses and causing hazards that could lead to accidents.
