Plane Clips Fence With Wing At O’Hare

CHICAGO (STMW) – Fire crews are on the scene at O’Hare International Airport on Saturday afternoon after the wing of a plane clipped part of a chain link fence.

A Virgin America plane backing out of its gate at O’Hare clipped part of a chain link fence with its wing, according to Fire Media Affairs.

The damage was confined to the aircraft’s wing vent, Fire Media Affairs said.

No injuries were reported, according to Fire Media Affairs. There was no fuel and no fire as well.

Passengers are off the plane while mechanics check the aircraft, Fire Media Affairs said.
