CHICAGO (STMW) – Two men were critically wounded Saturday night in a stabbing in the Mayfair neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The two males were stabbed shortly after 9 p.m. in a domestic related fight in the 4200 block of North Kilpatrick Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.

A 61-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen and a 36-year-old man was stabbed in the lower back, Alfaro said.

Both were taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Fire Media Affairs said.

A man is in custody in connection with the stabbing, Alfaro said. He suffered minor cuts and was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital.

Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
