Chicago Shovels

A new website, called, offers interactive online help in dealing with the city’s winter weather.

One feature will be the new “Plow Tracker” that allows residents to monitor the progress of the city’s snow plows.

The website will also feature an Adopt-a-Sidewalk Program and a Volunteer Snow Corps.

New smart phone apps will also be be available to find out if your car was towed and where it is or if the winter parking ban is in effect.

    To all of you people at CBS who have been Wishing for snow My sister and I are seniors who have to shovel snow from an at least 50 ft ramp for our older sister who is in a wheelchair. We have to shovel even if she is not going out in case something happens because the ramp is her only way out, then we have to shovel all the way from the end of the ramp out to the sidewalk which is another 50 ft then the sidewalk itself.. You never even thought of the people who would be stranded because of their flights or people skidding on this stuff in their cars, You with your penthouses and condos who probably never picked up a snow shovel in your lives. I blame you for not appreciating the nice weather Well I hope your’e happy now,
