Report: Rose Hopeful To Play Friday

(CBS) After injuring his left elbow in Wednesday night’s game, Derrick Rose is hopeful to play Friday.

“I want to play,” Rose told the Chicago Tribune early Thursday morning.

With 3 minutes, 35 seconds left, Derrick Rose fell and banged his left elbow on the court after being fouled by Damien Wilkins.

X-rays were negative, but Rose’s elbow was seen heavily bandaged and iced after the game.

The Bulls have an off-day Thursday facing the Magic Friday.

“It’s a bruise, but I’m good,” Rose said. “I just got knocked off, but I’m fine. It has happened before so I should be all right. It’s just like any other time you fall. You’re going to be sore. Thank God we don’t play (Thursday) and I can rest.”
