CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium is kicking off the new year with 11 days of free admission in January for Illinois residents.

General admission to the aquarium’s original galleries will be free on January 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31. Tickets to special exhibits will be discounted.

Free general admission includes access to the Caribbean Reef, Waters of the World and Amazon Rising exhibits. The special exhibits include: Wild Reef, Abbott Oceanarium, Polar Play Zone, and Jellies.

The aquarium says advance ticket purchase is recommended.

There are 52 free admission days this year. Here is the full list:

January: 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31
February: 6, 7, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28
June: 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22
September: 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25
October: 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30
November: 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
