Cleveland State Beats Loyola, 69-48

CLEVELAND (AP) — Trevon Harmon scored 20 points, including knocking down 6 of 7 3-pointers, to lead Cleveland State in a 69-48 win over Loyola of Chicago on Saturday for the Vikings' eighth straight win in the series.

Still, Loyola holds a 22-18 all-time edge against the Vikings.

Tim Kamczyc added 11 points and Anton Grady 10 for the Vikings (14-3, 4-1 Horizon League), who used a big early cushion to cruise to their fourth win in five games.

The Ramblers were leading 11-10 with 8 minutes left before halftime when Harmon hit a 3 to give Cleveland State the lead for good and spark a 22-6 run into the locker room. The Vikings outscored the Ramblers 37-31 in the second half to seal the win.

Ben Averkamp, Denzel Brito and Walt Gibler scored 10 points each to lead Loyola (5-11, 0-6), which has lost four in a row.
