Selig To Answer Fan Questions At SoxFest

(CBS) MLB Commissioner Bud Selig will attend SoxFest and field questions from fans at the event.

Selig will be there to present the 2011 Commissioner’s Award for Philanthropic Excellence to White Sox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf during the opening ceremonies Jan. 27. Following the presentation, the commissioner will participate in the first panel discussion of the weekend, discussing the state of the game with broadcaster Ken Harrelson and answering questions from fans in the audience.

SoxFest runs from Jan. 27-29 at the Palmer House Hilton. The opening ceremonies start at 4 p.m. Jan. 27.


    PUD better not show up.. he’s sure as hell gonna get booed off the stage. i know i’ll have a couple hard questions for him.. l
    1. how do you feel about your legacy in history as being the enabler & custodian of the steroid era, & the countless players who are forever stained along with you because of your see-no-evil hear-no-evil speak-no-evil handsoff poliicy?
    2.why have you allowed a small evil cabal of major market robber barons to run MLB like their own private piggy bank, skewing the balance of baseball talent in favor of franchises with big bucks, & letting the rest of the league wallow in red ink & fan indifference?
    3.why have you never vetoed a deal because it was so obviously NOT in the best interests of baseball?. allowing the rich to get richer, & the rest to suffer because they aren’t in new york?
