Freezing Rain, Snow In Forecast For Tuesday

CHICAGO (CBS) -- While Chicago will be treated to some relatively mild weather on Monday, temperatures will start dropping overnight--with freezing rain and snow developing for the Tuesday morning rush hour.

Temperatures on Monday will top out in the mid-40s in the afternoon with light rain into the evening. However, by midnight that rain could turn into an icy mix, making roads slippery.

The freezing rain will become snow on Tuesday, but accumulations should be no more than one or two inches, CBS 2's Mary Kay Kleist reports.

Temperatures will start falling rapidly on Tuesday afternoon, with lows on Tuesday night plunging into the single digits, with wind chills below zero.
