(CBS) Derrick Rose missed his second straight game Tuesday as he continues to battle a sprained left big toe.
Rose also missed Monday’s game in Memphis. C.J. Watson started Tuesday night’s game in place of Rose and Richard Hamilton returned to play his first game since Jan. 4. He’s been out with a groin injury.
The Chicago Tribune reported earlier today that Rose’s body had a negative reaction to his pain medication and he wasn’t able to take any Monday. The report also said he is battling a sinus cold.
Sitting Rose again Tuesday makes sense since the Bulls don’t play again until Friday in Cleveland. That would give him a full five days of rest.
