(WSCR) While you may know him from the popular comedy Tommy Boy and sit-com Parks and Recreation, actor Rob Lowe is in the news for a different reason.
Lowe tweeted that Colts quarterback Peyton Manning will retire after suffering a neck injury that sidelined him for the entire 2011 season.
Lowe did not name his source, though there are reports he has close ties with Colts president Jim Irsay.
Hearing my fave, #18 Peyton Manning will not return to #NFL. Wow. #Colts—

I tweeted this months ago, Hey It is obvious that he is in danger of being paralyzed. Hello! His Doctors told him as much. I called my local Doctor who is an orthopedic specialist here in Chicago and he mentioned that his return would be quite unwise. What do you want from the man? His brother Eli is now going to be DA Man. Who woulda thunk Eli would have more Rings than Peyton? Good Luck Peyton, you deserve to retire and live a long and enjoyable life.
