Man Shot, Wounded In Marquette Park

CHICAGO (CBS) — Police are on the scene at a gas station in the Marquette Park neighborhood, after a man was shot in the head.

The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. at 72nd Street and Western Avenue.

The victim is believed to be an 18-year-old man, and suffered a gunshot wound to the head, police said.

The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, fire officials said.

The shooting remains under investigation by Wentworth Area detectives.
