Police Seek Minivan In Fatal West Side Hit-And-Run

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Catholic Charities worker hit by a car on the West Side earlier this month has died.

Daryl Lincoln, 54, died Thursday afternoon with his family by his side.

Lincoln was hit Jan. 9 by a minivan at the intersection of Francisco and Jackson on January 9.

It happened around 5 p.m. as he left work at the Marillac House.

The driver kept going. Lincoln's family is now pleading for that driver to come forward

"I would just like to appeal for this person to come forward.  We need some peace. We need some closure.  I'm just, I'm devastated," Mildred Lincoln, the victim's mother, told CBS 2's Mai Martinez.

Chicago police released a surveillance image of the vehicle suspected in the hit-and-run. It is dark-colored and perhaps a Chrysler model. It may have damage to the windshield.
