CHICAGO (STMW) – A man who had been shot multiple times was found dead on the sidewalk in the Burnside neighborhood on the South Side early Sunday.

Police responded to reports of shots fired about 2:38 a.m. and found the man unresponsive on the sidewalk at 603 E. 90th Pl.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office identified the man as Antonio Cobbins, 39. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene about 2:52 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

Cobbins lived at 635 E. 90th Pl., less than a block from where he died.

Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
