SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (CBS) — A man is dead after shooting himself outside a popular sports bar in northwest suburban Schaumburg.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Tilted Kilt, at 1140 E. Higgins Rd. in Schaumburg.
Police were called to the scene for a report of a man in the parking lot threatening suicide, the Sun-Times Media Wire reported.
Responding officers found the man on his knees on the ground, holding two handguns. The officers tried to persuade him to put the guns down, but he refused and shot himself, police told the wire.
The man is identified as Michael Cicci, 27, of the 100 block of Patricia Lane in Palatine. He would have turned 28 Monday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:49 p.m. Sunday, the Cook County Medical Examier’s office told the Sun-Times Media Wire.
There was no word as of Monday morning as to whether any customers were inside the restaurant when the incident happened.

Maybe he had visited Jasper County Indiana that would make anyone kill themself
