CHICAGO (CBS) – Police were warning Northwest Side residents about a man suspected of raping several women at knifepoint.
According to an alert from Grand-Central Area Detectives, the man attacked a 31-year-old woman at about 1 a.m. Sunday as she was walking on North Avenue between Pulaski Road and Homan Avenue. Police said the man was driving a small, blue, four-door vehicle when he approached the woman and took her into an alley on the 1400 block of North Monticello Avenue and raped her at knifepoint.
Police said the man is suspected of raping other women who have “high-risk lifestlyes,” but did not release any details from the other attacks.
The attacks have occurred in the Grand-Central and Shakespeare police districts, which include the Humboldt Park and Logan Square neighborhoods.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, approximately 35 years old, who is between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8, with a stocky build and a medium complexion. The man wears his hair in a long mohawk with a ponytail in the back and the sides of his hairline are shaved, police said. He also has a tattoo of a cross on his right shoulder.

Gov. Quinn, is trying to get Chester Mental Health Center closed!
Patients there are being ABUSED in ALL sorts of ways, guards are involved in these abuses and the ‘treatment’ team, are only covering as the admin. is for the guards.
A RALLY need to be held to protest these abuses.
Chester police department states, “Chester takes care of their OWN problems’, which EXPOSES that they do nothing to prosecute the guards there who commit assaults as others do.

Would she meet the qualifications to legally obtain a conceal and carry permit?
Would we want wh0res to legally carry guns? If she pulled a gun he probably would have taken it away from her and shot her. If she did have a gun she probably would have traded it for crack and then some crack dealer would have another gun or sell it to some other thug!

Where does the logic of being able to carry a weapon legally fit into this story and how would it prevent a crime-it doesn’t because more than likely the woman has been arrested and would not be able to legally own a gun. Are you saying Mr. Justice that if Afro was driving down the North Ave. he would have jumped out of his car and pumped 16 slugs into the rapist?

You know what dan courage isn’t in the firearm I would not hesitate to shoot a threat to my life or my families life but I do know what restraint is and so do other law abiding citizens. No matter the lifestyle there are other high risk lifestyles other than being a “Wh0re” in Chicago being in your car at a red light at 5:30am is high risk.

To mention the “high-risk lifestyle” of former victims in this article is appalling. That information is completely unnecessary and adds no value to this report. All it serves to do is assign some of the blame to the women. Nowhere does it say this most recent victim lead a “high-risk lifestyle” like the others, yet in these comments it’s already assumed she’s probably a “wh0re”. The women are victims regardless of profession – and to refer to them as wh0res rather than prostitutes shows how effective this type of subtle injection of text can be. High-risk could mean anything, but placed in quotes, its purpose is to have the reader assume exactly what many did. And worse, it implies that these woman should have behaved, acted or dressed differently to avoid being raped. Maybe this woman and the others were prostitutes – but it doesn’t matter. Rape is rape… period. Wake up people – rape is about control, not sex. And shame on the person who wrote the text in this article. Just find this guy and make sure he doesn’t rape anyone else.
