Olczyk: Oilers Have Hawks’ Number

(WSCR) On the heels of the Hawks’ 4-8 loss to the Oilers on Thursday night, one NHL expert said Chicago needs to find a way to stop Edmonton.

“To me, the most disappointing thing was the lack of push back,” Blackhawks TV color commentator Eddie Olczyk told The McNeil and Spiegel Show. “Look, you guys know, in all sports, sometimes teams just have somebody’s number. The reality is that the Edmonton Oilers have the Hawks’ numbers. It’s been a long time since they’ve had it, but this year, they’ve had it. The Hawks haven’t been able to have an answer, especially in Edmonton.”

Hey Eddie, put aside your homer stance and face reality: Loyala’s Gold Team can beat the Hawks if Leddy, Seabrook, et al. keep playing offense and forgetting about defense. This is the worst team defense I’ve seen in decades. They won’t make the playoffs without a big shakeup!

Can we trade Eddie for his younger brother Rick, the Assistant GM of the Oilers?

I’m sure Rick can fight better than Eddie at least.
