Job Fair In Progress For New Venue In Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Ill. (CBS) — This is the second day of a three-day job fair in Rosemont, with dozens of jobs available.

As WBBM Newsradio’s Bernie Tafoya reports, about 250 full- and part-time positions are being offered for the new Village of Rosemont entertainment complex called The Park at Rosemont.

The Park will feature an assortment of restaurants and bars, including an outpost of Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, a Hofbräuhaus German beer hall, a Kings Bowling Alley, a new Irish restaurant and music house called the Five Roses Pub, and an outpost of the legendary Old Town comedy club Zanies.

At the center will be a seasonal courtyard that will feature ice skating and farmers markets.

Jobs offered include everything from servers, bartenders and cooks to security.

Many people showed up Sunday for the first day of the job fair at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.

The hours for the fair Monday are from noon until 8 p.m. The job fair continues Tuesday, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

    I will be driving an empty bus in Englewood hoping to fill it with the many people that are out of work and taking them to the job fair.
