Report: Cubs To Start Using 'Dynamic' Prices For Bleacher Seats
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Cubs reportedly plan to embrace a different way of selling bleacher tickets this season.
As WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports, the rebuilding Cubs might not be dynamic this season, but their bleacher ticket prices reportedly will be.
According to Crain's Chicago Business, bleacher ticket prices will fluctuate from game to game to capitalize on hot, in-demand games, much like ticket brokers do.

The Cubs will join 17 other teams that use dynamic ticket prices, including the White Sox. Last year, the Sox tried dynamic pricing on selected seats. It was such a success that the Sox have begun using dynamic pricing for all seats this year.
Under dynamic pricing, tickets to less popular games are cheaper; more popular games are more expensive.
According to Crain's, the Cubs will use dynamic pricing for its 5,000 bleacher seats. For the past few years, bleacher prices have been based on the opposing team and whether or not the game is on the weekend.
The move is an attempt to eat into the market carved out by ticket brokers.
