Gino's East

Back in 1966, cab drivers Fred Bartolli and Sam T. Levine opened a pizzeria with a unique formula combining their favorite old-world recipes in a thick pie-like golden crust. They found a location just off Michigan Avenue on Superior Street and opened the original Gino's East. It quickly became an instant legend with local Chicagoans, national celebrities and visitors from around the world.

Our famous deep-dish pizza tastes the same today as it did back then. Each legendary pizza is created with a secret recipe golden crust surrounding a delicious mixture of fresh vine-ripened tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and your choice of ingredients. Once baked, these enormous pies are brought to your table in well- seasoned pans.

Gino's East is also famous for wood- paneled walls that customers have been immortalizing for over forty years by scribbling graffiti of all types—love notes, jokes, political comments and drawings.

Of course, you can dine in at any Gino's East location. Or they also offer carryout and delivery.

Gino's East has four locations in the city—two downtown…on superior East of Mighigan and Wells and Ontatrio. Also, in Lincoln Park and on Higgins Road on the Northwest side. Suburban locations include Libertyville, St. Charles, Wheaton, Rolling Meadows, Lake Barrington and also Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
