Toews, Hjalmarsson Skip California Trip

(CBS) Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews, defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson and defenseman Steve Montador did not travel with the team to Los Angeles Friday.

Toews is battling an upper body injury and has missed the last two games. 670 The Score learned earlier this week that he suffering from concussion-like symptoms.

Hjalmarsson is also suffering from concussion symptoms and played in Thursday night’s loss against Dallas after missing seven straight games. The fact that he’s not making the trip to California is concerning.

Steve Montador has an upper body injury and hasn’t played since Feb. 7 in Colorado.

The Blackhawks face the Kings in Los Angeles Saturday night at 7 p.m. and the Ducks in Anaheim Sunday night at 6 p.m.

The Hawks may be streaky at times but they won’t be laing coumus 30 times n the next 5 weeks. The hawks do not have any depth beyong there 2nd line at best they will be a 1st rd casualty and the person who built the stanley cup team is now in florida. Stan Bowman is the one to blame and so far all he’s done is wreck the stnley cup champion team. This guy is not a GM, he has made trades that have been nothing but busts. Best thing to do is fire Stan Bowman and bring in an actual GM with hands on hockey experience
