2 Men Stabbed In South Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two men were left in critical condition Monday evening after being stabbed in the South Chicago neighborhood.

The men were stabbed by someone they knew around 6 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Kingston Avenue, police said.

A 44-year-old man was stabbed in the chest and forearm, and a 45-year-old man was stabbed in the left shoulder, police said.

The men drove themselves to Advocate Trinity Hospital, and were later transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Authorities say the victims are both expected to survive their wounds.

No one was in custody Tuesday morning in connection with the attack.
