Emery Named NHL’s 3rd Star Of The Week

(CBS) Blackhawks goaltender Ray Emery was named the NHL’s Third Star of the week Monday.

Emery went 3-0-0 with a 1.13 goals-against average and a .959 save percentage last week as the Blackhawks beat the Maple Leafs, Senators and Red Wings.

The goaltender has supplanted himself as the Blackhawks’ starter as Corey Crawford has struggled this season.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller was named the First Star and Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall was named the Second Star.
