Man Shot Dead At Waukegan Burger King

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (STMW) — A 29-year-old man was shot dead Thursday afternoon during an altercation in the parking lot of a north suburban Burger King, police said.

Police were called to the restaurant about 4:50 p.m. on reports of a person shot outside the restaurant at 3140 Belvidere Rd. in Waukegan, Waukegan police Cmdr. Gabe Guzman said.

When they arrived they found a man dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

Guzman said the shooting happened during some kind of an altercation in the parking lot, but could not provide additional details Thursday evening.
