VALPARAISO, Ind. (STMW) -- Seven-month-old Keagan Fishel died about 7:45 a.m. Saturday at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis where he was taken for treatment of a skull fracture, according to police.

Sgt. Larry LaFlower, public information officer with the Porter County Police Department, said the infant was found Thursday afternoon in his home in the 1800 block of Vail Drive with a skull fracture and was transported to Porter hospital's Valparaiso campus. He was later flown to Riley Hospital.

Police were not releasing information as to how the baby was injured.

An autopsy on the child is scheduled for Monday. The investigation is ongoing, LaFlower said.
