Rose Rallies To Win World Golf Championship

DORAL, Fla. (AP) — On a day of endless drama at Doral, Justin Rose won the Cadillac Championship standing on the practice range.

Rose closed with a 2-under 70 on Sunday for a one-shot victory over Bubba Watson, who hit a bullet out of the palm trees to just inside 10 feet for a chance to force a playoff. His birdie putt missed, ending a wild day even by Watson's standards.

It was the 10th win worldwide for Rose, and his first World Golf Championship.

If that wasn't enough, Tiger Woods muddied his Masters future when he withdrew after 11 holes with soreness in left Achilles tendon. As he was leaving, Rory McIlroy holed a bunker shot for eagle and rallied within one shot of the lead. He finished third.
