Boy Shot Multiple Times In Englewood

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A boy was shot multiple times – including in the mouth – Tuesday evening in the Englewood neighborhood.

The boy was shot three times in the side of his body and once in the mouth about 7:30 p.m. in the 7200 block of South Winchester Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety, citing preliminary information.

The boy was initially taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. His age was not immediately available.

Area South detectives are investigating, but nobody is in custody Tuesday night.
