WARRENVILLE, Ill. (STMW) — After they observed an inordinate amount of customers frequenting a Warrenville spa for very short periods of time, police in the west suburb last month launched an investigation into the Green Spa, 2 S 610 IL Route 59.
That investigation culminated Friday with the arrest of a 55-year-old spa employee, Warrenville police said. The agency was assisted by detectives from the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office.
Myong Sim Tarver, 55, of Los Angeles, was charged with one count of prostitution and one count of practicing massage therapy without a license, both Class A misdemeanors. Tarver is currently being held at the Warrenville Police Department.
Tarver was taken into custody at approximately 12:30 p.m. after she agreed to perform a sexual act for money upon an undercover DuPage County Sheriff’s detective, a release from police said.
Warrenville Police have notified the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation and are working with city of Warrenville Code Enforcement in an effort to close the business.
“We take these types of violations very seriously, as they adversely affect the overall quality of life within the community,” Police Chief Ray Turano said.
