CHICAGO (CBS) — A man was hospitalized in critical condition Wednesday morning after being shot in the chest in broad daylight in the Englewood neighborhood.

The man, described only as being in his 20s, was shot multiple times in the chest around 8:35 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of West 61st Street, police said.

Police could not identify the hospital where the victim, was taken, but they told the Sun-Times Media Wire reported he was in “very critical condition.”

Further details of the shooting were immediately available Wednesday morning. No one was in custody as of 10 a,m.
