CHICAGO (STMW) – An 18-year-old man was injured during a drive-by shooting in the Northwest Side Albany Park neighborhod early Saturday.

The man was on the sidewalk in the 3300 block of W. Montrose Avenue around 11:31 p.m. when shots were fired from a light colored vehicle, according to a police release.

Police said the man was shot in the thigh. He originally refused medical attention but later checked into Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was in “stable” condition, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating the shooting, and no one is in custody.
