Man Shot, Wounded In Uptown

CHICAGO (CBS) — A person was shot in the wee hours Tuesday in the Little Saigon district of the Uptown neighborhood.

The male victim, age unknown, was shot in the abdomen in the 1000 block of West Argyle Street about 3:45 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, but Alfaro did not know his condition.

Further details of the shooting were not immediately learned.

Area North detectives are investigating the shooting.
