Police say in both cases, two men armed with knives approached victims on the sidewalk and announced a robbery.

The first robbery happened about 3 a.m. on March 9 in the 700 block of North Clark Street, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien said. The second happened about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in 1200 block of North Wells, he said.

The suspects are described as 20- to 40-year-old black men about 6-feet tall and 200 pounds, police said. Both wear hooded sweatshirts.

Police are advising residents to tell neighbors about the situation, avoid walking alone and in dark areas, and refrain from talking on cell phones while walking.

Carry your own knives and/or gun and put these animals out of their misery.

  • Just the Average Joe

Look out for blacks roaming around at night wearing hoodies, they might be criminals. Maybe they should put together a neighborhood watch.

Avg J- Good ideas all around. You’d think with the taxes they pay they’d have a cop on every corner. Maybe they can use the cop that wastes his time guarding that beautiful mansion down the street on prime real estate that the catholic church owns?
