Biden Visit Ties Up Afternoon Traffic

CHICAGO (CBS) — Commuters experienced additional traffic troubles during the afternoon rush hour Thursday, as Vice President Joseph Biden came to Chicago.

The Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications says Lake Shore Drive and area expressways will be backed up, as the vice president comes in for two private fundraisers.

Traffic will be further backed up due to the Blackhawks’ game against the St. Louis Blues at the United Center, starting at 7:30 p.m.

The OEMC advised allowing extra travel time.
