Man Tries To Lure Girl Into Car In Jefferson Park

CHICAGO (CBS) — Police Thursday morning were looking for a man who tried to lure an 11-year-old girl into his car on the city’s Northwest Side.

Around 3:15 p.m. this past Monday, the girl was at the corner of Menard Avenue and Ainslie Street in the Jefferson Park neighborhood, when the man pulled up in his car and instructed her to “get in,” Area North detectives said.

The girl ran away before anything else happened.

The man was described as white with bushy, gray hair, police said. He was in a smaller, four-door vehicle, silver or white in color, possibly a Honda Civic, the alert said.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 744-8200.

Why was this girl alone? With all the attempted abductions lately, I would think ALL parents would be certain their children are with others, especially when walking to and from school. This little girl was lucky; maybe the next one waiting or walking alone won’t be. Wake up parents; there are pedophiles out there just waiting to get at your children. Don’t let them go anywhere alone!

Wondering if it was the dude that tried to help the 2 girls in barrington only wearing a disguise this time?

Why would you think that? It turns out that guy wasn’t up to anything sinister at all. People were over reactive on that story. That poor guy got sc*rew*ed big time. Alot of us will never, EVER again offer anyone our assistance because of what he went through!!
