CHICAGO (CBS) — A vehicle somehow ended up on the CTA tracks near the Rosemont Blue Line station on Friday afternoon, forcing service to be halted for a short time.

Trains were being stopped at Cumberland and the CTA was shuttling passengers on buses between Cumberland and O’Hare.

The accident happened around 3:15 p.m.

As of 4 p.m. crews had removed the car from the tracks and were working to restore power to the area.

Trains were running again shortly after 4 p.m., but the CTA said to expect delays.

Traffic in the area was also backed up, along the Kennedy Expy.

I started being a crabby old man when I hit 40, I’m in my 50′s now (it can be fun). Also since the former head of Metra played chicken with one his trains, the news media started reporting train incidents more…
