(WSCR) This will add some excitement to women’s high school soccer.

According to a report, after Annette McCullough of Lewisville High was tripped while running down the sideline in a game against Chester High, all hell broke loose.

McCullough got up from the grass and began punching her opponent in the head and dragging her by the hair.

“Some incidental contact ended in one girl going down and she just got up and started pummeling,” referee Alan Parker told wbtv.com. “It’s unfortunate, it really is. Contact is a part of soccer, but when you retaliate like that, obviously, there is no place in the game for that.”

McCullough is being charged with simple assault.

Even if she had been taken down on purpose, her response was highly innapropriate! She should be suspended from any further play this season!

What I cannot understand is if the races were reversed , Oh my God !!!!! the media would be all over this !!!!!! and there is no doubt in my mind she would have been charged with correct the charge which is “Battery” not simple assault …and she ( if it was a white on black ) would also been charges with a “Hate ” crime …. so why is it when blacks attack whites its just business as usual ,, but switch it around and its racism.. oh and lets talk about assault and battery. By definition Assault is the Verbal threat of violence toward someone – Battery is the carrying out of the threat in a physical manner… ahhhhh Duhhhhhh . its obvious this is a Battery case and she should also bet charged with a “Hate” crime ….ridiculous !!!!!!!!!!!!
