Ex-NFL QB Ryan Leaf Arrested Twice In 4 Days

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Two days after posting bail for drug and burglary charges, former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf has been arrested a second time in Montana.

Central Montana Drug Force Commander Chris Hickman says Leaf was arrested early Monday in Great Falls and is facing charges of burglary, theft and two counts of criminal possession of dangerous drugs. He also is being detained on a probation violation.

Hickman says the new charges stem from a burglary on Sunday — two days after Leaf was arrested and charged with burglarizing an acquaintance’s home for prescription painkillers.

Hickman declined to detail the allegations against Leaf regarding the latest burglary.

Leaf has a court hearing later Monday. Hickman says the probation violation does not carry a bond, so he cannot be released from jail.

If we’re supposed to be laughing Bernsie, I dont get the punch line…not when there could be the effects of CTE going on in this poor kids brain..you know his story and his upbringing, why throw this out here like its some kind of fodder? And the pain pill addiction? Not uncommon for ex athletes who had injuries and need help. This kid needs prayers and counseling and yes possibly incarceration, but please dont joke about him on the air nor insinuate it by even putting this up as news..it goes against your liberal progressive views on helping the down trodden. Or is that view just held when its convenient for ratings..i.e, Paterno/Sandusky, Tebow. Here’s a guy that needs help—here’s hoping you’re the first to call for the effects of CTE in this case, as you seem to for todays youth football players, which he once was.

I do enjoy the manner in which you have framed this specific issue plus it does supply us a lot of fodder for consideration. Nevertheless, through what precisely I have personally seen, I simply just wish as the commentary stack on that people remain on point and not embark on a tirade regarding the news of the day. Yet, thank you for this fantastic point and though I can not really concur with this in totality, I regard the point of view.
