(WSCR) Former Illinois running back Mikel Leshoure attempted to eat his stash of marijuana to avoid being busted during a traffic stop in March.

According to a report, Leshoure was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped by police on March 12. Leshoure then attempted to eat the marijuana he had on him.

Leshoure is being arraigned in court Monday.

The Lions running back has reportedly been busted for marijuana two times this offseason.

Hey lazy bones Boers–if you’re going to put your name on a web site, could you at least do a little old fashioned journalism homework for that half mil a year you pull in? Dude, theres more of a story to this than what is posted on your web site that bears your name on it…It seems Mikel already has 2 pot busts ahead of this most recent one, and all within the year. Lazy bone Boers, cashing the checks but not doing the work. Turns it into a joke about trying to eat the weed—wonder why he was eating it, because he has two busts ahead of him to deal with. Yet Boers doesnt include that part in his web site.
