(CBS) Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly continued a recent hot-streak in recruiting Wednesday morning by landing his tenth commitment for the recruiting class of 2013 when cornerback Devin Butler made his college choice known via Twitter.

“I’M COMMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME!!!! #GOIRISH,” Butler wrote.

Butler is listed at 6’3’’, 185 pounds and hails from Gonzaga High School in Washington, DC.

Rivals.com ranks Butler as a three-star recruit and lists him as having scholarship offers from the likes of Penn State, Michigan, Northwestern, Nebraska and Wisconsin amongst many other east coast schools.

Butler figures to help fill the gap left by Tee Shepard’s departure earlier this year.  Shepard was a five-star cornerback who signed his letter of intent with the Irish before leaving school in February.
