CHICAGO (STMW) – Two teenage boys were wounded in a Woodlawn neighborhood drive-by shooting Monday afternoon on the South Side.

The 14- and 17-year-old boys were shot about 3:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue, said police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala, citing preliminary information.

The 14-year-old was shot in the hand and taken in good condition to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, police said. The older teen was shot in the right leg and taken in good condition to Bernard Mitchell Medical Center, a part of the University of Chicago Hospitals.

Area Central detectives are investigating the shooting as drive-by, but nobody is in custody Monday evening.
