Jon Boeckenstedt, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Policy & Planning, has been with DePaul since 2002. In his role, he is responsible for the Offices of Undergraduate Admissions for both freshman and transfer students.
Jon has almost 30 years of experience in college admission, and has worked at several institutions of different size and selectivity, including small selective liberal arts colleges, mid-sized comprehensive universities, and now DePaul, the eight largest private university in the nation. He understands the different ways colleges admit freshmen, and the different things they look for in applicants.
During his career, he’s interviewed thousands of candidates for admission, and reviewed many more admissions applications from students from across the country and around the world. He’s visited high schools in almost every state and a dozen foreign countries.
His undergraduate degree is in English Literature, and his master’s degree is in Marketing.
