CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 56-year-old woman stands charged with stabbing her daughter's boyfriend to death during an argument on the city's West Side.

Sharon Burton was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder, police said. She was ordered held on $150,00 bail at a bond hearing Wednesday afternoon.

Burton is accused of stabbing Terrance Quigley, 32, at his home in the 3600 block of West Franklin Boulevard in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, around 3:22 p.m. on Monday, authorities said.

Quigley was allegedly arguing with his girlfriend when her mother stabbed him in the chest, police said.

He was pronounced dead at Norwegian-American Hospital at 4:08 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Burton is due back in court on Friday.
