DePaul Adds McDonald To Incoming Recruiting Class

(CBS) Durrell McDonald (Henderson, Nev.) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play at DePaul next season, becoming the third member of the incoming recruiting class.

"Durrell is a tremendous run and jump athlete who can play either guard position," DePaul head coach Oliver Purnell said. "I expect him to compete for significant playing time immediately."

McDonald joins DeJuan Marrero and Jodan Price as incoming freshman next season. He averaged 21.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists this season while leading Green Valley High School to the Class 4A state semifinals after the team started the season 4-11.

The 6-2 guard is also a talented high jumper. He posted a mark of 6-10 earlier this spring that is currently tied for eighth in the nation.
