CHICAGO (CBS) — A woman was shot in the face Wednesday evening in a drive-by incident in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood.
As WBBM Newsradio’s Nancy Harty reports, around 11:30 p.m., the 38-year-old woman was driving west down the 2000 block of West 84th Street, near Damen Avenue, when a light-colored sedan pulled up next to her and fired shots, striking her in the left side of the face, police said.
A passenger inside the vehicle took the wheel, andand drove to Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers in Evergreen Park, police said.
The woman was later transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and was reported in stable condition, police said.
