CHICAGO (CBS) – If you’re planning to fly out of O’Hare International Airport soon, and you have an iPhone, there’s a new app available to help you get around the airport.

WBBM Newsradio’s Bernie Tafoya reports the Airport Maps app can give you detailed gate maps of O’Hare and and dozens of other international airports around the world. A Midway map should be added soon.

You don’t even need to have an Internet connection to use the app once it’s been loaded onto your phone.

The maps provide locations of terminals, airline gates, baggage claim spots, restaurants, and restrooms.

There’s also a “sticky note” function so you can make a personal note for future use.

To find the app at the Apple App Store, search for “Airport Maps.”

Meanwhile, a different free airport app, “Airport Life,” which includes both O’Hare and Midway airports, but it’s not as detailed as “Airport Maps.”
