Man Pulled From Chicago River After Jumping Off Bridge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was pulled from the Chicago River on Friday morning after he apparently jumped off the Clark Street bridge.

The man jumped about 10:30 a.m. Just before 11 a.m., a CBS 2 News crew reported the man had been pulled from the water and medics were performing CPR.

The police Marine Unit and Fire Department crews responded to the scene.

According to dispatch reports, the man was under water for about 20 minutes before being pulled out and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

No further details were immediately available.
