Temperature To Top Out In Low 60s As Clouds Roll In

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Skies were sunny and conditions were gorgeous in the midday hours Tuesday, but clouds will roll in later in the day.

CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros says as of 11:20 a.m., sunshine was abundant, particularly toward the lakefront. Some high cloud cover was seen to the west.

Meanwhile, the temperatures were up considerably from Monday, with 59 at Midway International Airport and 60 at O'Hare. The forecast high for the day is 61 degrees.

Cloud cover will increase in the afternoon, and the overnight low will drop to 47. On Wednesday, the high will climb to 64, but rain will blow in during the afternoon.

After the rain and the accompanying cold front clear, the temperature will drop again and hover in the 50s for the week to come. The high for Thursday is 53, Friday 54, Saturday 55, Sunday 59, and Monday 53.
