Nike Designer Apologizes For Criticizing Rose

(WSCR) After Derrick Rose went down Saturday with a season-ending ACL tear, one designer for Nike criticized Rose, who is under contract with Adidas, for not signing with his company.

"You got one guy only getting stronger, and one guy breaking down before our very eyes. You chose poorly Pooh... #shouldasignedwithNIKE #GWS," tweeted Jason Petrie, senior footwear designer at Nike.

These comments come in the wake of Rose signing a 13-year deal with Adidas worth north of $200 million. The first guy Petrie references is likely LeBron James.

After coming under criticism for the timing and severity of his Tweet, Petrie apologized for his remarks saying: "Wow! Twitterverse I do apologize. It was really just tongue n cheek! Never meant any harm or disrespect!"
