(CBS) Former Cubs hurler Mark Prior will sign with the Red Sox, according to a tweet from CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman.
The 31-year-old Prior pitched for the Cubs from 2002-2006, though he hasn’t appeared in a Major League game since 2006.
In 106 career starts, Prior has compiled a record of 42-29 with 3.51 ERA.
Since leaving the Cubs in 2006, Prior has spent time with Padres, Rangers and Yankees organization.
